Poppins Out of School Club in Lower Bemerton, Salisbury, SP2 9NW, runs after school and holiday care for children aged 3-11. We are looking for a motivated and caring after school session supervisor with excellent leadership skills and plenty of activity ideas to cover maternity leave. Staff should be dedicated to providing the very best childcare in a fun, enthusiastic and professional manner.

Hours:

The following vacancies may be shared by more than one person.
* Term-time: Monday-Friday, 3pm-5.40pm (excluding local school’s inset days)

* Holidays: 8.00am - 5.40pm during sessions (agreed days)

Duties:
Planning with children and staff to deliver exciting, inclusive activities that meets both group and individual needs; carrying out daily administration tasks; having excellent communication skills and developing good relationships with children, parents, carers, staff and other agencies; promoting good behaviour, safe practice and the safeguarding of children; managing a small team; acting as the deputy-designated safeguarding lead and key worker for EYFS children; administering first aid; working within an equal opportunities framework and Poppins’ policies and procedures.

It is essential that applicants hold at least a full and relevant Level 3 NVQ qualification (or equivalent).

Start date:
September 2017 although there may be holiday work available prior to this.
