The Kidsclub Companyis looking to recruit a fun, reliable, motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Supervisor to support the Senior Supervisor in managing a team of Play Workers & children at our busy After School Club and Breakfast Club. The position is based at one of our 2 Ashtead sites, catering for 4 to 11 year olds. The 2 sites are within a mile of each other and a degree of flexibility to work at either site is preferred.

You will work within the club, Monday to Friday from 7.30am-9am and 2.30pm – 6pm daily during the term time and 25 hours per week during school holidays, school holiday hours can be across the week or across 3 days. 

The role includes, close supervision and interaction with children, preparing and clearing away after snacks, motivating the Play Work Team, student staff and volunteers to devise and prepare art activities, group games, role-play, supervising sports activities and ensuring children are playing safely and behavior management.

All staff are responsible for building good relationships with the families and are expected to be good role models for the children in our care.

The successful candidate must have experience working within a childcare team, as well as the understanding of working with primary school children and must hold either a NVQ level 3 certificate in Play Work or equivalent and current Pediatric First Aid certificate.  You will work under the direction and supervision of our Senior Supervisor and/or Managing Director and your duties will include the care and supervision of children, preparation of activity plans and direct Playwork.
