16.25 hours per week: Term Time: Mon – Fri,  14:45 – 18:00  Holidays: Mon – Fri between 8:00 – 18:00

DBS: Enhanced clearance required 

Location: Edgeley Children’s Play Centre, with an expectation to work at other locations if required.

Role Profile

More Play More Often (MPMO) is looking to recruit highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed people to join our team of playworkers.  MPMO is a community interest company that is proud to deliver inclusive play, outreach play and childcare.

We are currently recruiting a childrens worker to work at our Ofsted registered out of school club, both term time and holidays.

We are very proud of our inclusive ethos and work closely with children, parents/carers, agencies etc to ensure that all children are accepted as individuals and able to participate in a range of play activities.

You'll support children to follow their own ideas and interests for play. You'll make sure there are safe, interesting and fun play opportunities to meet children’s' individual and group needs.

You'll also follow health and safety procedures and help children to be aware of their own safety and that of others.

Your day-to-day work may include:

  •      Collecting children from school and escorting to the setting
  •      providing and setting up play areas, materials and equipment
  •      giving out refreshments
  •      talking to children about their concerns or worries
  •      dealing with injuries and emergencies
  •      building relationships with parents, carers, and professionals
  •      keeping accurate records

You may be invited to join in activities like sports, drama, music, den building, cooking and creative games.
