We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Manager for our Breakfast/After School Club opening in September 2018. The candidate should be dedicated to providing outstanding extended care: organising and engaging children in various activities, inside and outside, and preparing, serving and supervising breakfast and a light tea while at the Breakfast/After School Club. 

The Club Manager has the responsibility for ensuring that the Club runs smoothly and that the staff will be directed in an organised and consistent way. The safe and happy play environment of the Club depends on the management skills of the Club Manager. The post holder must have the capacity to plan ahead, anticipate potential difficulties and establish a course of action.

Successful candidates will:

  • Be able to lead, manage and motivate staff to ensure the best provision;
  • Have a relevant Level 3 / childcare qualification;
  • Experience of caring for children aged from 3 – 11 years;
  • Have excellent knowledge of child development;
  • Ensure the Breakfast/After School Club is an enjoyable experience for all the children;
  • Have the ability to communicate well with adults and with children;
  • Have an enthusiastic, imaginative and caring approach to all children;
  • Be able to demonstrate emotional resilience and confidence during challenging situations;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Be competent in using computer systems including email, Microsoft work and Excel;
  • Have the ability to work independently;
  • Be able to show initiative;
  • Have knowledge of First Aid and Hygiene practice;
  • Have awareness of Health & Safety issues.
