The staff and children of Go Bananas After School Club, based in Colchester, Essex are looking for a dynamic, bubbly and energetic After School Club Assistant to cover a Maternity leave post from January 2017 to July 2017.
The successful candidate will be required to have a minimum Level 2, though Level 3 preferred, NVQ or equivalent qualification in childcare, previous experience working in a childcare setting preferred.
Fixed contract of 17.5 hours per week (Term Time Only: from 3:00pm – 6:30pm; Monday to Friday)
We are an Ofsted registered ‘Good’ After School Club running from 3:00pm – 6:30pm Monday to Friday (term time only) and offer children aged 4-12 years a wide range of opportunities and the chance to explore and discover their world, so that they can make the setting their own.
Our supportive staff are fully committed to ensuring an inclusive and safe environment for the children in our care and are looking for someone to join them in their endeavour of supporting children in their holistic development.
The successful candidate will assist under supervision in planning, setting up and delivering a wide range of activities and play a key role in ensuring the safety of children whilst at play and when upstairs in the secure Go Bananas After School Club rooms.
The successful candidate will need great communication skills, a passion for helping children discover the world around them, patience and good behaviour management skills whilst being able to help the children in our care make the club their own.
