Hours: Varied - maximum 22.5 hours per week. Term time only.

An Out of School Club Assistant Manager is required to assist in the running of expanding club, exclusively available to children attending Roseacres Primary School in Takeley. The club is registered and governed by Ofsted. The successful candidate must be available if needed to cover both Breakfast Club sessions and After School Club sessions, Monday to Friday during Term Time.

The Role
The Assistant Manager role is responsible for children between the ages of 4 and 11 and will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Out of School Club during some sessions. The role includes close supervision of and interaction with children, preparation of meals/snacks, directing staff, liaising with the school and parents, working to legislation, policies and procedures, and some administrative duties as required. All staff are responsible for building good relationships with our children and their families and are expected to be good role models for the children in our care.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must be proven as an experienced leader in a similar environment and hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years/Playwork or equivalent qualification. This post is subject to a DBS enhanced check and completion of an OFSTED approved paediatric first aid course. Induction and ongoing training is undertaken as part of the role. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the EYFS requirements, and inclusive practice. You will be committed to the development of self and others by sharing knowledge, encouraging new ideas and seeking new challenges and opportunities.
