Hours are 7.15am-9am and 2.45pm-6pm Monday to Friday term time only. Additional paperwork hours and holiday club hours are available.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has enthusiasm, drive and vision to build on the good reputation of the club and the Company.

We are seeking a highly committed Manager with strong leadership skills for the day to day management of our breakfast and after school provision for pupils aged 3-11 years.

Candidates must hold a Level 3 or above Childcare Qualification.

Main duties include:

  • Showing prospective children and their parents around, ensuring that they are welcomed and receive a positive experience.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
  • Take responsibility for weekly planning and maintain a daily timetable of activities.
  • Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers.
  • Ensure that each child is cared for to the highest possible standard with regard to their unique personalities.
  • Delegating tasks fairly amongst the workforce.
  • Oversee the delivery of the EYFS ensuring that staff are delivering it effectively.
  • Ensure that contact books are checked and written in every session.
  • Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
  • Administering first aid when necessary.
  • Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
  • Implement risk assessment and ensure ongoing risk assessments are used and updated as necessary.
  • Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
  • Providing support and supervision to play workers and other staff, including volunteers, deal with any issues that may arise and report to the ADM or MD.
  • Holding regular staff meetings and consulting with the ADM/MD with regards to regular reviews and appraisals for staff, staff working hours and any absences the MD may not be aware of.
  • Ensure regular fire drills are in place.
  • Keeping a reflective diary – highlighting any issues or successes and gathering information that will contribute to the SEF and improve our quality of service and care.
  • Administration and record keeping, including staff and child records, financial records, purchasing snacks, and working within an agreed budget.
  • Request resources in advance & record any breakages or missing resources.
  • Developing and maintaining good communication with all members of the club, with schools, and especially with parents and provide a regular newsletter.
  • Undertaking appropriate and relevant training and conducting in house training.
  • Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
  • Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures and ensuring that all staff adhere to them.
  • Manage children’s behaviour effectively.
  • Consult with staff to come into the setting in school holidays to plan and prepare for the next term. Arrange for cleaning of dressing up clothes and other equipment.
  • Undertake relevant paperwork and keep up to date with documentation and legal requirements.
  • Be responsible for collection of cash fees, recording receipts and ledger.
  • Open and close the setting as necessary.
  • Carry out any other duties as necessary
