Press release: Red carpet for OSCARS

Out of School Clubs Roll Out the Red Carpet for OSCARS

Hot on the heels of this year’s Oscars ceremony, the Out of School Alliance (OOSA) is celebrating the launch of their own OSCARS (Out of School Club Administration and Reporting Software).

OOSA, the one-stop shop for advice and support to providers of out of school care, teamed up with the Connect Technology Group, the nursery management software specialists, to develop the OSCARS package for their members. Initially released only to OOSA members, OSCARS has proved so popular that it is now being made available to all out of school clubs.

OSCARS has been developed specifically for out of school club settings. It gives real time visibility and control of a club’s administration by linking all of the information at the touch of a button. OSCARS streamlines the time-consuming tasks of generating daily or weekly registers, issuing invoices and tracking payments; it simplifies booking children in for sessions, and allows clubs to set up payment plans and monitor occupancy levels and staff ratios.

Talking about OSCARS, OOSA Director Clare Freeman said, "We had so many calls to our hotline seeking advice on management software for out of school clubs. We were keen to find a product that would help club leaders solve the admin nightmare and meet their Ofsted requirements – all at a price that they could afford. OSCARS is one of the most innovative products I’ve seen in an out of school setting and helps to raise standards in provision through allowing clubs to concentrate on what they do best: looking after the children in their care."

Chris Reid, MD of the Connect Technology Group said, "We're delighted to be working in partnership with OOSA to supply low cost reporting solutions to out of school clubs. We're improving the software every day based on feedback from OOSA members and look forward to helping them streamline the management of their clubs for many years to come."
