Lakeview Childcare are looking for an energetic, motivated and experienced before and after school club supervisor to help run our thriving setting, based within a local primary school. We are looking for someone who can bring professionalism and drive to the setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high standards of care and play opportunities for children in a safe and secure environment.

Essential skills required for the role:

  • Hold an appropriate qualification relating to children (Level 3 or above)
  • Be passionate about helping the children to fulfil their potential
  • Need to be able to motivate and lead a small team
  • Be able to work on your own but also as part of a dedicated team
  • Be able to communicate with parents/carers and other staff members
  • Be organized, efficient and reliable
  • Motivate and inspire children aged from 4 up to 11 years of age
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.
  • Willing to undertake on-going self-development and training

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating a small team
  • Planning, coordinating and preparing daily activities for the children
  • Providing high quality childcare at all times
  • Promoting our vision and ethos to ensure a child-centered, safe and stimulating environment is provided, meeting the needs of every individual within a group setting.
  • Preparation of day to day routines including facilitating snack time, setting up the room, preparing and supervising activities, supervising outdoor play, meal times, support and general clearing and cleaning duties. We need someone who can support children’s play and work as a team to provide a safe, secure and happy environment for children.
  • Show positivity and professionalism.
  • Take part in the day to day operational aspects of the out of school club in line with policies and procedures, safeguarding, Ofsted requirements, local authority guidance, health and safety and equal opportunities.
  • Administering first aid when necessary
  • Liaising with parents/carers
  • Ensure that the environment is kept safe at all times and that checks are always done
  • Reading and understanding all policies and procedures
  • Daily administrative duties
  • Attend staff meetings and training

Car driver with own vehicle is essential

Hours: 26.25 hours per week from 7.15am–9.00am Mon - Fri & 3.00pm -6.30pm (term time only)

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
