Assistants required, for an exciting after school club in the Chichester area.
Qualifications for assistants are not essential, but experience of working with children is a must. We are looking for an after school care team who can bring fun, enthusiasm, professionalism and drive to the setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Be part of a small team
  • Providing high quality childcare at all times
  • Attending meetings
  • Administering first aid when necessary
  • Liaising with parents/carers on a daily basis
  • Ensure that the environment is kept safe at all times and that checks are always done
  • Plan and prepare daily activities
  • Reading and understanding all policies and procedures
  • Attending courses when required
  • Help prepare making a tea for the children.

Essential skills required for the roles:

  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of how to provide quality childcare and what is necessary for a safe environment for the children
  • You must have experience of working with children .
  • Be able to work on your own but also as part of a determined team
  • Be able to communicate with parents/carers and other staff members
  • Be willing to assist with planning and help provide a fun and exciting range of daily activities/opportunities for the children.

All applicants must be prepared to do training in: Paediatric first Aid Food and Hygiene Safeguarding and be willing to have an enhanced DBS check.

Hours: Approx 15 hours per week 3.00pm - 6.00pm Mon-Fri (term time) plus the option to work during the school holidays.

The positions will be available to start September 2017.
