Which template pack?

We offer a range of template packs to help providers create their own paperwork, whether they are starting their club from scratch so need everything, or are already up and running and just need a few templates on a specific topic. This article aims to help you identify the best template pack for your requirements.

Start-Up Pack

This is our main template pack and contains templates for all of the forms, policies and checklists that you will need if you are setting up a typical out of school club, including all the essential policies required by Ofsted. The Start-Up Pack is available in downloadable form (so that you can start editing the files straightaway), or as a USB (which means you have a physical back-up to all the files, but have to wait a few days for it to arrive).

The Start-Up Pack contains all the templates from the following packs:

  • Essential Policies
  • Forms
  • Employment and Management
  • Parent Communication

Plus many additional policies that are only available in the Start-Up Pack.

If you have bought the Start-Up Pack you do not need to buy the above listed packs as well.

Early Years for OSCs

If your club is on the Early Years Register you may find this pack helpful. It contains articles explaining how to meet the requirements of the EYFS in an out of school club setting, and includes templates for documents which will help you to demonstrate that you are meeting these requirements.

Staff Induction Pack

This is pack is a partner to the Employment and Management Pack, and focuses on the paperwork relating to the induction of new members of staff. Its main feature is a Staff Handbook, plus a number of useful checklists, as well as a collection of policies specifically related to staff. A couple of the template staff policies are also available in the Start-Up Pack.

Prevent Duty Pack

This pack contains several articles explaining how to meet the requirements of the Prevent Duty in the context of an out of school club, as well as a range of suggestions for promoting 'British values'. It also includes templates for a Prevent Duty risk assessment, a No Platform policy and for creating your own anti-radicalisation posters and leaflets.
For completeness, this pack also includes templates for eight documents that could be affected by the Prevent Duty. This last group of templates are also available in the Start-Up Pack.

Operating Manual

The Operating Manual is a lengthy template document, aimed at helping you to record how your club is run. The template document provides a structure or a skeleton for you to complete with information appropriate to your own club, so that when you have completed all of the sections you will have a thorough 'hand-over' document should you need to pass on the management of the club to another person.

Forms Pack

This pack contains all the basic forms that you will need in an out of school club. The contents of the Forms Pack are included in Start-Up Pack.
If you have bought the Start-Up Pack you don't need to also buy the Forms Pack.

Essential Policies Pack

This small pack contains templates for just the policies that are required by Ofsted to comply with the requirements of the Early Years Register. The contents of the Essential Policies Pack are included in Start-Up Pack. (Note that the Start-Up Pack contains many additional policies as well.)
If you have bought the Start-Up Pack you don't need to also buy the Essential Policies Pack.

Employment and Management Pack

This pack contains a collection of the documentation that you will need when you recruit and employ staff at an out of school club. The contents of the Employment and Management Pack are included in Start-Up Pack.
If you have bought the Start-Up Pack you don't need to also buy the Employment and Management Pack.

Parent Communication Pack

This small pack contains templates for a number of documents to faciliate your communication with parents. The contents of the Parent Communication Pack are included in Start-Up Pack.
If you have bought the Start-Up Pack you don't need to also buy the Parent Communication Pack.

Holiday Club Pack

The Holiday Club Pack is essentially a cut-down version of the Start-Up Pack. It is aimed at clubs which operate on a small scale and only for a relatively short amount of time (ie holiday periods only). It contains templates for all the essential documents, but none of the optional extras. It is a smaller and cheaper alternative to the Start-Up Pack.
If you have bought the Start-Up Pack you don't need to also buy the Holiday Club Pack.

Activity Club Pack

The Activity Club Pack is a small pack specifically aimed at activity-based clubs (eg drama club, chess club, Chinese club, etc) which are not registered with Ofsted, and which children usually only attend for an hour or so once per week. It is an alternative to the packs aimed at full wraparound settings (ie, the Start-Up Pack) or clubs which only operate in holiday time (Holiday Club Pack).
If you have bought the Start-Up Pack or the Holiday Club Pack you don't need to buy the Activity Club Pack.
