If an out of school club does not meet the threshold for Ofsted registration - for example if it provides coaching in a particular area such as drama or sport rather than general childcare, or if it operates for less than two hours per day - there are no statutory minimum staffing ratios.

For breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs which are registered with Ofsted, the statutory staffing ratios depend on the ages of the children being cared for, and (for pre-school children) on the qualifications of the staff caring for them.
