In the June 2015 issue of the OOSA Members' Newsletter we take a look at the new Common Inspection Framework and the accompanying revised Early Years Inspection Handbook, both of which will take effect in September 2015, and we pick out the key changes that will affect out of school clubs, such as the end to no-notice inspections. We also remind you that the new 'Prevent Duty' comes into force on 1 July this year and applies to childcare settings just as much as it does to schools and colleges. In response to member enquiries we also provide a summary of the current state of play regarding the requirement for first aid certificates for staff at your club. We have information about resources dealing with the subject of 'sexting', as well as a fun competition to design a new board game, and we have two great new summery activities to try with the children at your club.
